Pretty trimmings of the season – Remove cores from stem end of spiced apples, poke on ends of turkey drumsticks...or fluffy yellow chrysanthemums make the turkey drumsticks festive -snip some from your living room bouquet!
Herb Stuffing (modified by Sweetie-licious)
- 3 quarts slightly dry bread cubed
- 4 ½ tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 ½ tsp. salt (or to taste)
- Pepper to taste
- 1/3 C. chopped fresh parsley
- 1/3 C. onion chopped very fine
- 1/3 C. butter
- 1 C. chicken stock
Melt butter in small pan on medium heat. Add onion until cooked through. Add stock. Combine bread, seasonings, parsley. Toss lightly with butter onion stock mixture. Makes 8 cups, or enough stuffing to stuff a ten-pound turkey (or place in buttered, covered casserole dish and warm in oven.)
