The Latest from the Shop

Rather than changing the shop hours seasonally, as we've done in the past, we now will be open the same hours year-round. Starting Monday Aug 6th we'll be open from 6:30 a.m - 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. (Our Saturday hours, 8:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m., will remain the same.)   We hope that this will make it easier for you to know when you can stop into the shop for a meal or some some of our yummy "Sweetie" treats!

All of us have the ability to be some kind of a champion. Some of us will be champions at county fairs, singing competitions, spelling bees, art competitions, or even pie baking championships! Some of us will be champions for admirable charities and causes;  for our children, in later life, or for our parents. Then, some of us will be champion athletes - from Little League, high school state championships, to the Olympics. We all know by now that no one can be a champion without passion, perseverance, and innate talent. There are many kind...

We just updated the "Sweetie-licious Themes" board on Pinterest. The current theme is "A Vintage Postcard Tour of Summer in Michigan", complete with great summer recipes. If your aren't a member of Pinterest yet, you might want to join... To find our 7 boards (including the theme board), just seach for - sweetie-licious - once you are on the Pinterest homepage.

Every month we email out e-coupons to folks who sign up on our website. This month, we are also making the July e-coupon available on our website.  Just print out the web page with the large coupon on it and bring it into the shop to get a 50% discount on our homemade lemonade, sweetened sassafras iced tea, or unsweetened black tea when you purchase a whole sandwich, quiche meal or "halfsies" meal.

Every Saturday we'll be at the Meridian Farmer's Market in Okemos MI, and just about every Sunday we'll be at the Sunday Farmer's Market in downtown Howell MI. We'll be bringing our yummy pies, cookies, and muffins to sell. We hope to see you there!!   The next Capitol Farmer's Market in Lansing will be on September 13th. Mark your calendars. We're going to be at the Farmer's Market on July 19th (from 10 am - 2 pm) that surrounds the Capitol Building in downtown Lansing. We'll be bringing along whole and slices of pie, cookies and muffins. We hope to see you all there!!!

We are now getting fresh Michigan blueberries, so we will now be baking lots of fresh blueberry pies (including plain blueberry, blueberry raspberry, blueberry blackberry, blueberry peach, blueberry rhubarb, and of course blueberries & cream). We'll also be making different kinds of bluebery muffins and scones. So... stop into the shop or call us (517-669-9300) and order one of of our yummy, "blueberry-licious" treats!

Next Wednesday is Independence Day... and to celebrate it we'll be posting a different barbeque/cookout recipe every day - starting tonight and running through all of next week. We hope you'll check out each recipe and hopefully try them out on family and friends when you barbeque! Enjoy!

We are honored that an American Presidential candidate, has asked to have a slice of pie and baking class at the "cutest little pie shop in the whole wide world!" I am excited about the fanfare and commerce it brings to our darling town of DeWitt and beloved Michigan. I am excited to show off our shop, food, pies, and sweet staff to the caravan of folks that come with his travels.
