On April 25th, Linda will be the keynote speaker at the "2015 Night for Notables" which will be held at the Library of Michigan. This event honors the winners of the winners of the Michigan Notable Book awards.

Oh my word, I cannot believe Sweetie-licious won the coveted Golden Spatula Award, for Best Apple Pie in America, on The Steve Harvey Show! We competed against the The Little Pie Company of New York City, and it's wonderful creator, Arnold Wilkerson - his pie was amazing! Sweetie-licious was voted #1 best pie in Michigan by MLive. We are over the moon excited about this one! Michigan has the best bakeries and pie bakers in the whole country; so to be voted #1 by MLive is a true honor. I have had pie at many of these wonderful places on the top 10 list, and they are delicious, delicious pies! Each year we make tons of pies for Thanksgiving. This year, with the addition of our East Grand Rapids shop, we expect that we'll be extra busy. What a great day at The Steve Harvey Show! I had so much fun with Steve, truly my mouth hurts from smiling and laughing so much! What a sweetie man - he LOVED our pie! We competed with the Little Pie Company of NYC for the Best Apple Pie in the country in the "Great American Food Fight", a feature on the show. The audience voted on their favorite pie before the show, and Steve helped make our award-winning Laura's Sticky Toffee Pudding Caramel Apple Pie! We will find out who won The Golden Spatula when the show airs in a few weeks....

Tuesday morning a crew from the Chicago-based (and nationally syndicated) Steve Harvey Show, arrived at the DeWitt shop to tape an interview with Linda and a bunch of background material about Sweetie-licious (and the local ingredients we use in our pies), which will be shown to Steve Harvey's audience, and broadcast as part of the show, in connection with Steve's "Great American Food Fight" series.
