Having sampled numerous international apple pastries, I was enchanted to discover a most satisfying experience at Sweetie Pies. Go for the apple pie, it's life changing...

My seventeen year old son drives through downtown DeWitt just before 7 am. The town is completely dark. But when he sees the lights on in 'Sweetie Pies' he feels like "alls right with the world"

We happened upon this special place by accident - or should I say serendipity - a few weeks ago on our way up north. Couldn't get the memory of the pie (and especially the crust) out of our mind. So... on a trip from Holland to Plymouth MI we had to come by again. Then, we realized that we had read about Linda in Faith Magazine. Just one more divinely inspired opportunities to enjoy the many good things in life! Blessings to you! -- The Lawsons

Fantastic experience and culinary delight. Well worth the drive from Detroit -- P & D

This is the only bought pie, that is worth the name, that I have found in my 64 years. Thank goodness for Sweetie Pie - DeWitt is so lucky

I was at my class reunion committee meeting and one of my fellow graduates mentioned to the group about the 'most delicious' pies in the world (better than moms) that she purchased. My ears perked up and I asked where? - Her comment was, you probably wouldn't know this small town - Where I asked? - She said near Lansing MI - I looked at her and said "DeWitt? - Yes, said she, how did you know? - I replied that my daughter and family live there and she brought two piece for Thanksgiving - WOW! Were they awesome! Not a crumb was left. - Thanks Sweetie Pies, home baking is here to stay!

Here for our first visit, we were drawn in by the cool & flashy red & white awning. Great food and heartfelt hospitality! Both nourish the spirit! Thanks -- Chris

You showed great kindness (and provided great good tastes!) to our family after a memorial service in town. The coffee and pie made the long drive home a little easier. Thank you

This place is the main reason I (and several other bottom-light riders) are able to survive the first day of DALMAC. An now we hear the blueberry-raspberry pie has won awards. So have the cinnamon rolls! See you next year! -- Jim (and friends)

This is a delightful and quaint place. The sweets are addictive. You are the only place that makes lemon pie like my mother used to. You made me feel special! -- Best to you, Alice & Barbara

I grew up in the Detroit area, however all my relatives lived (and still do) in Alabama. As a small child, the road trips to visit them were painfully long and slow. It was eventually worth the wait. Every time we arrived at my grandmother's house (Mamo as we called her) she would have a fresh, homemade chocolate cream pie waiting. Unbelievably sweet & delicious! To this day, the memory is still just as sweet and just as delicious!

The Sweetie Pie shop in DeWitt, Michigan captures the essence of its name in more ways than one. Certainly its customers will attest to the fact that the homemade pies created there are delicious, but the real sweetie pie in this place it its owner, Linda Hundt. As a new resident of this town, who had just moved from New Jersey, I experienced the charm and kindness of this unique ‘Sweetie Pie’ establishment in a special way.  Our son, Jim and his lovely fiancée, Amy we getting married on New year’s Eve in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We were having friends from the east coast return with us on the Sunday after the wedding to DeWitt to see our new home. They would spend the night and then catch flights back to Maryland and Washington DC. I wanted to have a nice meal fro them and I knew that Sweetie Pies had great desserts. Unfortunately, I knew the shop was closed on Sundays and what’s more it was a holiday, “New Years Day”. I stopped by the store and talked to Linda a little bit about our wedding and she immediately offered to bake pies for me at her home on Sunday evening. She told me I could pick them up on Sunday when we returned home from our son’s wedding. She gave me her cell phone number in case I had trouble finding her home since I was new in town. I was overwhelmed by her generosity. My friends Laura and Colleen went with me to get the pies and they were both saying—“This would never have happened in New Jersey!!” I tried to tell them this is the Midwest and there is a neighborliness here like nowhere else. We found the pies in pink boxes with ribbons around them and a nice note from Linda.  I won’t ever forger her kindness or how great those pies, made with love, tasted on New Year’s Day 2006 -- Sue

Thank you so much for the “Sweetie Pie”. It was delicious. We had chicken noodle soup for lunch and it was also very tasty. My wife liked the cheese that came with it.  We will be back soon, but my wife is a master baker herself. She is envious of you following your dream. Thanks again -- Bill

Thank you so much for the delicious Blueberry Raspberry Pie I won last week. Our son and his family were over and we had it for dessert. Two of the children only wanted a small piece, but when they ate it, they wanted more. Even my husband wanted more.  We could have eaten another pie. Thanks again -- Sincerely yours, Mary Ellen

WOW! WOW! WONDERFUL! Blissful! Delicious! Thank you soooooo much. We enjoyed “Grandma Ferrell’s Sweetie Pie”, Sunday ( I even managed to share a couple pieces with guest...it was tough though.) Yummy! -- Connie

“Best” chicken salad sandwich I ever ate! Makes your taste buds burst with joy -- Don and Jackie

My roasted asparagus sandwich was great. Kurt liked his egg salad sandwich also. Our cherry berry smoothie was the best I’ve ever had. Thank you for my raspberry custard pie, which I shared with Kurt. Say hi to the other Linda Hundt for me. When I get rid of my boot I can walk again, I’ll come here to celebrate. I LOVE this place -- Suzanne
